More than 100 Haulotte aerial work platforms at the «Etileno XXI» site.

In Veracruz, Mexico, construction of the Etileno XXI petrochemical production facility by Braskem-Idesa consortium is near completion (at 85%). The Haulotte aerial work platforms figure prominently with more than one hundred in service at the site.
This industrial site will exercise a key role in the country’s industrial revitalization.

Braskem, the Brazilian petrochemical company, announced in November 2014 investments expected to reach US$4.5 billion. This plant destined to produce ethylene and polyethylene represents the largest investment in Mexico in the petrochemical sector of the last 20 years.

The Etileno XXI plant is expected to come online at the end of 2015 with a production capacity of more than 1 million tons of ethylene and polyethylene per year. Production will be sold exclusively in the Mexican market which will still be far from covering the country’s total annual demand estimated at nearly two billion tons. Nevertheless, this site will make it possible to reduce Mexico’s imports of polyethylene by 35% to 40%, and in this way reduce its trade deficit.
