Haulotte & Gemini Power Hydraulics charting success together in the Indian aviation sector

With aviation a major sector for Haulotte Aerial Work Platforms globally, the Indian aviation sector is naturally a priority market.

Gemini Power Hydraulics Pvt Ltd, as Haulotte’s pan-India dealer, has been successfully tapping this sector for the last 5 years. In addition to supplying the Air Force, aviation service providers (Airwork etc.) and various airports across the country, Gemini has also had large-scale success in the Indian aviation sector, supplying and commissioning 21 Haulotte Aerial Work Platforms to GVK- Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd for the prestigious state of the art Terminal 2.

These machines are used by the Facility Department and E&M Department for façade cleaning and maintenance of the T2 at Mumbai International Airport.

Rewinding back to chart out this incredible success story, Gemini team started the pre-sales activity with GVK-MIAL in March 2012.  After the technical site survey and noting critical measurements and thereafter, post several gruelling rounds of technical discussions with the Project team, machines meeting the customer’s specifications and application requirements were shortlisted.

Despite fierce competition from major players like JLG/Nifty, GVK-MIAL chose Gemini & Haulotte as Preferred Partner, awarding the contract to Gemini in May 2013.

The machine deliveries were completed in end 2013 /early 2014 and post deliveries during the commissioning period, Gemini Product support team conducted several detailed theoretical and practical training sessions for the facility contractors for proper and optimum utilization of the machines.

The GVK-MIAL E&M team, Facility team, Procurement team and Logistics team were all very supportive through-out the contract, which enabled us to smoothly execute the contract.

All machines are now backed by prompt and excellent after sales support  by Gemini Power Hydraulics with additional specialized support whenever required  from Haulotte India service team to ensure that the machine are operating satisfactorily. Gemini service engineers make visits and perform preventive machine check-ups once a month. The team also remains available on 24x7 basis for any emergency.

This prestigious order from MIAL also propelled orders from other Chennai International Airport & Bangalore International Airports who also put their trust in using Haulotte machines with the proactive and efficient after sales support from Gemini.

The aviation sector is growing in India at a very rapid pace with several airports coming up in Tier II and Tier III cities. In addition the focus of government initiatives in this sector point to good days ahead.
