Early in October, MEWP key players gathered in Singapore to attend the powered access safety symposium hosted by the Ministry of Manpower Singapore (MOM) & the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF).
On this occasion, Darren Phua, General Manager at Haulotte Singapore took the floor to highlight Haulotte’s technologies that enhance safety on MEWPs.
Focus on Haulotte’s innovations
Haulotte’s latest innovative functionalities provide the highest level of safety for aerial platform operators and contribute to improving the working conditions. «It is our shared responsibility to ensure that every worker can go home safely every day» said Darren Phua.
Haulotte Activ’Shield Bar system pushed the operator towards the bar in an entrapment situation and stops the machine automatically. The Haulotte Activ’Lighting System enables the driver to better identify the obstacles in the working area during loading and unloading operations.
The Haulotte Stop Emission System stops the machine’s engine after 90 seconds of machine inactivity. This device limits pollution and noise emissions for better comfort. The on-board diagnostic tool Haulotte Activ’Screen facilitates the work on job sites as it enables operators to access the machine’s parameters and diagnostics without any additional tools.
