Haulotte UK develops its refurbishment activity

Haulotte refurbishment solutions meet the wishes and expectations of customers that want to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership. Refurbishment solutions offer the machines a second life!

This month, Haulotte UK delivered two refurbished machines for Scottish rental company Access Platforms Aberdeen Limited. Major mechanical parts (baskets control boxes, slew ring, cylinders, stub pins, pivot pins, wheels, wiring looms and many others) have been replaced to improve the performance of the mobile elevating platforms. Visible parts have been replaced or refurbished for an enhanced cosmetic appearance and future reliability. Haulotte technicians also upgraded the HA20PX with secondary guarding, the Haulotte Activ’Shield Bar for optimal safety and operator protection.

«Refurbishment usually involves machines that have been operated for more than 10 years and between 3000 and 4000 hours. Rob Petrie - Managing Director of Access Platforms Aberdeen - a Haulotte client since 2005 who operates over 300 Haulotte booms, scissor lifts and masts in APAs rental fleet in the North East of Scotland, is very pleased with the 2nd Life Refurbishments. «The 2 machines have been refreshed, reliability increased, and customer perception of the equipment improved. The machines have returned to the busy rental fleet to service our customers for many more years» said Rob. Haulotte UK have already begun 2nd Life refurbishment on 2 more diesel booms for Access Platforms Aberdeen.
